ENAMEL & BLUE TOPAZ EARRINGS

Filigree like this was originally made by the Mongols and then filtered into  Northern China, where it is made today.  These are a modern interpretation of the very old art.  Tiny sterling wire is hand fashioned with tweezers, filled with enamel power, baked in kilns to a high gloss, gold plated and set with blue topaz gem stones.   About 1 1/4 inches, new, contemporary jewelry.

EARRINGS MIRIAM HASKELL

Made up of three rhinestone floret clusters, all prong set in "Russian Gold" tone mountings.   The florets have been angled upward to create a bouquet effect and are hand wired to the filigree base; and the floret rhinestones are set in a hi-lo pattern.   About 7/8 inches, and 7/16 in depth, the earrings are adjustable spring tension, clip-screw back style.   Vintage costume jewelry, circa 1950s.  Marked Haskell on the clip findings.

TRIFARI EARRINGS

IVORY BILLIKEN COUPLE CHARM EARRINGS

Too sweet, it is a "couple" ... him with his squinty eyed, happy smile, her batting her long, black eyelashes.  About 1 1/8 inch long,  including the earring surmount.  This is vintage ivory, scrimshawed in black and set with  natural gold nugget flake for a belly button.  Although originated elsewhere, the Billiken was adopted in Alaska as a figurine almost a hundred years ago.  Wear as earrings, or they are suitable as a charm for your bracelet (ask me to join them both to a single gold jump ring).
