TERRIFIC HOOP EARRINGS ~~ TRIFARI A line of clear baguette rhinestones runs through the center of these
gold tone leaf hoop EARRINGS. Perhaps the first "in and out" styles,
the design makes a twist at the bottom so that the back half of the hoop
is facing forward and disappears behind the ear lobe at the
top. These are marvelous. They came in with the
estate of a Marshall Field jewelry buyer, so one suspects that they
are Alfred Philippe designs though I haven't located a drawing of them

HOBE EARRINGS ~ HASKELL STYLE EXCITING RED, hand wired clip EARRINGS. The antiqued,
textured leaves are layered over and hand wired to the filigree back, then
the rows, long and short, of red seed beads, are wired to meet in
the center and covered there with three opaque ruby red, bi-cone
beads. Marked Hobe, clips with the little built in comfort
roller. Vintage costume jewelry in like new condition, about 1

THINK ~~ GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES ~~ EARRINGS Very bold, classic styling. The EARRINGS are 2 inches total
length. The surmount and the leaflets on the dangle are set with
large clear marquise rhinestones, glue set in heavy rhodium plated silver
tone. The edges of the metal around the rhinestones is textured to
simulate mil grain. Hinged below the trifoil surmount and
again below the double lobe leaflet. The faux, simulated pearl,
in like new condition, has a rhinestone set floret cap.

obvious quality from a top maker, circa early 1950s, in

DELIGHTFUL SHIMMERING JOMAZ EARRINGS Wonderful, molded glass leaves, the beautiful blue hue is enhanced
dramatically with the delicate shimmer seen in natural
moonstone gemstones. The large prong set rhinestones
between leaves are sapphire blue aurora borealis, the small ones around
the center are clear rhinestones set in

STARRY, STARRY NIGHT! AURORA BOREALIS EARRINGS The color combination is smashing. The beautiful marquise auroras
is centered by a round sapphire blue aurora (look at the enlargement for
coloring) and the light amethyst cabochon blends all the colors

EARRINGS, all prong set in gold tone, circa 1950-60.

HAND MADE STERLING EARRINGS Rose and leaf motif in the opening between the circles. Hand
made, hand engraved, it is lightly hand hammered, with a beveled edge
to catch & reflect light. Old style pieced wires (can be
replaced with modern ones if desired, just ask). The
EARRINGS are 2 1/2 inches including the wire. Marked Sterling,

ENAMEL & BLUE TOPAZ EARRINGS Filigree like this was originally made by the Mongols and then filtered
into Northern China, where it is made today. These are a
modern interpretation of the very old art. Tiny sterling wire
is hand fashioned with tweezers, filled with enamel power, baked in kilns
to a high gloss, gold plated and set with blue topaz gem
stones. About 1 1/4 inches, new, contemporary jewelry.

Costume jewelry was and is made in all levels of quality. A goodly amount of costume jewelry that was inexpensively made has become collectible.
