VINTAGE BAG - DRAWSTRING RETICULE Hand made and beaded. From the estate of an uncle who like to
make beaded bags and purses! Never used, still in the
storage box, along with a little box of left over beads. The bag is
leather, smooth finish on the inside, suede on the outside. Two
loops of beads are missing just at the top edge where you see a thread
sticking up, easily repairable. The bag is flat on the front and the
back and has deep gussets on each side. About 8 1/2 inche x 5
inches. |

VINTAGE BEAD BAG ~ EXCELLENT CONDITION Crocheted or woven black fabric is encrusted with gray beads and
swags of gray glass beads. The beading, bag and interior
fabric are all in top condition with no damage or deterioration. The
clasp shows a small amount of loss of plating. This bag is part of a
group purchased from an estate where the Uncle was an afficianado of
personally making beaded bags. A number of never used bags
along with trays and boxes of beads were purchased. It is
unknown whether he made this bag, or beaded this bag. It is in a
silver and gray box with sticker reading "Tucktite costume
Bag". Circa 1920s bags are seldom seen in this
condition. The frame measures 5 inches across, the bag
measures 8 inches across at the bottom, and 7 inches top to bottom.

STRATTON YELLOW FLOWER COMPACT Gold tone, the top is a yellow flower bouquet with greenery on a white
paint enamel ground. The top, mirror, and inside are
excellent condition, the back is lightly worn. 2 1/2
inches, encased in a soft faux, simulated suede
envelope. Vintage compact.

RHINESTONE EVENING BAG, CIRCA 1920-30s. Each sparkling rhinestone is surrounded by a green plastic tube
setting and all of the tube settings are spaced & joined on a web
of green thread. The rhinestone web is backed by green silk, and the
inside is finished with gold silk. 4 1/2 x 6 inch bag, the frame is
gold tone, lightly worn, and the clasp is set with rhinestones
which are a little dull with age. Vintage estate evening bag,
circa 1930s, in excellent condition.

SAKS FIFTH AVENUE, bag by Coblentz Silk fabric in a sort of Chrysanthemum floral
pattern. The 9 1/2 x 5 1/2 envelope bag has a metal, fabric
and Jonquil yellow rhinestone decoration on the front, snap closure &
black silk lining. Three pockets, one is lined in red
silk. Black small coin purse included. Vintage evening
purse, in like new excellent condition.

CIRCA 1860-80 TRULY FABULOUS PIQUÉ and TORTOISE CASE The original purpose of the case is unknown. Some have thought it to be a cigar case. It's a beauty, though. The front and the back are natural tortoise shell. The front is completely covered in piqué work. The tiny polka dots covering the front and back are tiny gold color nail heads, The figure eight design is piqué work in mother of pearl shell, two rows flanking a row of gold color ribbon. More gold color piqué in a row and another solid ribbon frame the figure eight design. The center is floral piqué work in gold tone and mother of pearl around a shield with initials. Over 4000 piqué dots in the background and who knows how many make the design. One "solid ribbon" is missing at the top of the bottom design. 5 5/8 inches x 3 wide. The depth is 1 1/4 inches, though it can be thicker as all four sides of the front and the back has a leather expandable accordion. Blue silk interior, both pockets are expandable at the top The double pocket has some fraying of fabric on the left side of the side. More pictures All gold tone metal is presumed to be brass, or gold plated
brass. Antique tortoise case, circa 1860-8. The
clasp is tight. Estimated replacement value $800-$1000.

EVE ARDEN COMPACT Gold tone with an intricate basket weave
texture. Never used, still in the original suede fabric
pouch. 2 1/4 inches, excellent condition, vintage
compact. Note some of the beads on the pouch are
missing. Mirror and puff are like new, too.

ELGIN AMERICAN COMPACT 3 1/2 inch Elgin American compact. Used probably twice or three
times, there is powder in the well, the green puff has powder lightly
embedded in one corner. The mirror, seeinside, is cloudy.
The original brochure from Elgin, showing this style as #1353 is
enclosed along with a tiny Christmas card with the giver's initials.
Brown felt envelope cover with Elgin American stamped in gold.
Vintage compact, exterior in excellent condition. Probably
circa 1960-70. |

HAND BLOWN ART GLASS PERFUME BOTTLE Quite an old one, the bottle has the same shape on both side and is
just over a half inch thick. The design is in primary yellow, blue
and orange with glittery "gold" stripes on a cream background.
The stopper is gold color glass and fit tightly in the neck of the bottle,
making the total height 2 1/2 inches. The bottle has a brass
neck and you can see its age as what was probably original plated is now a
brassy color. Vintage, probably made in Italy sometime
before 1950. |

BLACK GLOVES, SMALL Fabric gloves from 1960, very plain ~ they are light weight, have a
very slightly wrinkle which makes them look like black
leather. No tag or size within. I wear a medium
glove and these are small for me. They appear to have been
never worn. Vintage clothing, gloves in excellent
condition, 15 inches long, 3 inches across the knuckles..

OLD IVORY BOX, ART DECO or VICTORIAN Absolutely lovely, vintage (guaranteed) ivory Box. Both top
and bottom are ivory and it seems to be applied to a leather or
leatherette, which is accordioned on the sides for slight expansion.
There is a little wear on one edge & corner of the "accordion" for
about 1 1/4 inches and the material which the leather covers is seen to be
something similar to grosgrain fabric. The metal frame is
brass. The interior is watered blue silk and someone has cut the
center of the top layer of silk in both sections, apparently to
accommodate something. It is my opinion that the box is older
than "Art Deco" and that the Sterling Deco decoration was added at a later
time, probably to cover whatever was originally there. Antique box.

ROLL TOP CIGARETTE CASE Clever roll top can complete a circular path completely around the
basic box. When the space is rolled to the front, it open it up for
cigarettes, when rolled to the back, the front will be completely
covered. 3 5/8 inches x 3 1/4 inches x 5/8 inches,
accommodates cigaratess 2 7/8 inches. Vintage cigarette wooden
box case in excellent condition.

PERFUME SPRAYER BROOCH Pump bug sprayers were popular in households during the 40s and 50s and
were used to spray an array of pest, including flies, with 'goodness knows
what' chemicals. Perhaps it was inevitable that they were made in
miniature and used for spraying perfume. This brooch is a working
sprayer attached to the mother pin on a retractable metal chain, allowing
it to be pulled away & used to spray ear lobes and wrists.
Vintage costume jewelry, brass, sprayer measures 2 1/2 in., excellent
condition. |

SAKS FIFTH AVENUE Made in France, a lovely steel beaded bag, measuring 8" x
6". Actual size front and actual size back and the top decoration, and inside of the bag. Very
Good condition, a little smudgy at the bottom corners and the plating on
the sides of the top decoration is worn. Return it if you don't like
it for this price. Marked "Saks Fifth Avenue, Made in France", the
inside is very clean. |

STEEL BEADED BAG A subtle pink and gold pattern of steel beads. Size is 6" x
5". The back side has a small area
of deterioration just where the frame ends on the left (see arrow). Inside of the bag. I
would rate this one in Very Good condition. Bargain priced! Return it if
you don't agree. |

COBALT ENAMEL - 3 Pieces
COMPACT, CIGARETTE CASE & POWDER BOX. Round powder box with screen & mirror was apparently never
used. Size 1 5/8". The compact has mirror, lipstick tube with a
lipstick PENCIL inside, puff - slightly used, and marked Stratton Made in
England, an powder compartment with screen. Size is 3 1/4" x 2
3/4". The cigarette case has the metal retainer inside, marked
"Stratton". Size is 3 3/4" x 3 1/4". The tops and inside of
all pieces are in great condition. There is a bit of scuffing on the
back of the cigarette case, see the backs of the pieces.

PAIR of ORREFORS perfume bottles. These appear to have
never been used. Both are marked on the bottom and both have a shield
shape gold and red foil sticker just below the neck. The are orb shape,
with two flat sides. 4 1/4" high with stopper. 2 1/4" wide or 1 3/4" wide,
depending upon which way the bottle is turned. Excellent condition. These
are from the estate of a travel agent and were probably a gift from the
